This page has the following resources to help you Find Mosques and Religious Services in Washington
This guide lists resources to help your family access Muslim religious services in Washington. The guide includes general information about attending prayers, celebrating holidays, and accessing services statewide, as well as contact information and a list of services for each mosque in five of Washington’s counties.
Daily Iqama Times
Most of the websites of the mosques listed below will have an up-to-date schedule of the five daily prayers (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha). However, if you are unable to access the schedule on the website of the mosque nearest to you, you can find the calendar of daily Iqama times in Seattle at this resource: PrayerTimes.us.
Contacting Your Local Mosque
If you have questions or concerns about the community or activities at your local mosque, we encourage you to reach out to them. The phone numbers and email addresses for each mosque are listed below.
However, some mosques do not have an email address that you can contact directly. In these cases, you will see the note “submit contact form here” with a link. Clicking the link and submitting the form is the best way to get your message to administrators at the mosque.
As an additional measure of security, some of these forms may ask a simple question like “What is 1+1?” or may require you to select photos of a fire hydrant from a collection of images. Answering these questions is simply a way for the administrators to know that you are a real person seeking information, rather than a bot or a hacker.
Accommodation for Muslim Holidays
In the United States, Muslim holidays are not always recognized by schools and employers. If you are in need of religious accommodations related to work hours, food and drink habits, school assignments, or other practices, you may need to request them. For help with requesting religious accommodations at schools, see this example letter. For help with requesting religious accommodations at your workplace, see this example letter.
Public schools and workplaces are required by law to make religious accommodations. For more information about religion and the workplace in Washington, see this Guide to Religion and Washington State Nondiscrimination Laws.
