English Learning and Proficiency
Spokane Community College
Spokane Community College offers English classes serving immigrants and refugees. These classes cost $25 per term and allow you to improve your English proficiency through multiple levels. There are online and in-person options for these courses which can be taken at SCC’s Adult Education Center, SCC, or Spokane Valley Center. To begin classes, you must:
- Contact the program to schedule a test of your current English proficiency

- If you have any of the following, bring them to the test:
- Picture ID
- Social Security Card
- Green Card or Visa
- Work with the program to figure out which classes you should take
- Pay the $25 tuition for the term
- Begin classes after receiving class information
