There are organizations in the community that can provide emergency and other types of food help.  Here are some of them:


Essentials First 

Essentials First is a nonprofit that is giving hygiene, warmth, and food kits to vulnerable populations across King County. They are located in Bellevue and do not do delivery. Please fill out this online form to request resources.

King County Food Lifeline 

King County Food Lifeline is an organization that provides lists of organizations that offer food assistance with a map. People can look through the map, click on the resources that are closest to them, and find addresses, phone numbers, emails, and websites of these service providers.

Muslim Association of Puget Sound – Muslim Community Resource Center (MAPS-MCRC)

In addition to any government help you may receive, MAPS-MCRC offers food and more to those in need, including perishable and non-perishable food boxes, Afghan bread, halal meat, and food and gas cards.  

To apply for food or other assistance, fill out this online form. 

  • If you already have an account with MAPS-MCRC, you can select your unique Client ID # from the drop down menu at the top of the form
  • If you are new to MAPS-MCRC, click on the “New to MCRC? Click Here to Apply” option.

Tip:  MCRC is the services program of MAPS, the largest Islamic Center in the State of Washington.  Anyone who is hungry can get food help from MAPS-MCRC, regardless of background, religion, race, etc.

Multi-Service Center

The Multi Service Center is an organization that seeks to help people with housing and rental assistance, food assistance, education, employment, among other services. They have locations in Federal Way and Kent, and a valid photo ID and application is required before your first visit.

Plateau Outreach Ministries

Plateau Outreach Ministries provides both food and clothing banks for people to get clothes and food as needed, they also offer a thrift store (clothing for very cheap).

United Way King County 

United Way King County is a community organization that offers food delivery services, rental assistance, and tax help. You can access the food delivery service here. 

Tip: This service is currently closed, but you can sign up to be on the wait list, and they will contact you when there are available spots.

Holy Cross Catholic Church Lake Stevens

The Holy Cross Catholic Church in Lake Stevens offers both utility bill assistance as well as food assistance with a valid bill and photo ID.

Tip: They can only pay one bill a month.

The Salvation Army Everett

The Salvation Army in Everett offers bill assistance, employment assistance, as well as meal assistance.

Trinity Lutheran Church

The Trinity Aid Bank at the Trinity Lutheran Church offers food assistance, hygiene supplies, household supplies, as well as bus tickets for public transportation.
