Tacoma Community College

Tacoma Community College offers English classes serving immigrants and refugees. These classes cost $25 per term and allow you to improve your English proficiency through multiple levels. To begin classes, you must:

  • Contact the program to schedule a test of your current English proficiency
  • Work with the program to figure out which classes you should take
  • Pay the $25 tuition for the term
  • Begin classes after receiving class information.

 

Pierce College

Pierce College offers English classes serving immigrants and refugees. These classes cost $25 per term and offer morning, afternoon, and evening classes to fit your schedule. To begin classes, you must:

  • Contact a program supervisor at the location you wish to attend

Bates Technical College

Bates Technical College offers English classes with flexible schedules for students. These classes cost $25 per term and allow you to improve your English proficiency through multiple levels. To begin classes, you must:

Tacoma Community House

This non-profit offers English classes throughout the year with flexible schedules for students. These classes cost $25 per term and allow you to improve your English proficiency through multiple levels. To begin classes, you must:

  • Contact Charlene McKenzie to register by leaving your name and phone number
  • Speak with a program coordinator to complete enrollment paperwork
  • If you have any of the following, bring them to orientation:
    • Picture ID
    • Social Security Card
    • Green Card or Visa
    • Pay Stub or DSHS Award Letter
  • Pay the $25 tuition for the term
  • Begin classes after receiving class information
